Fig.1 Detection of B4GALNT1 expression in duodenum by RT-PCR. Duodenum RNA was extracted from 12-year-old male wild-type C57BL/6 (WT)(n=3) and homozygous hB4GALNT1 knockin mice (HO) (n=3), then cDNA libraries were synthesized by reverse transcription, followed by PCR with mRNA primers. Mouse B4galnt1 mRNA (261 bp) was detectable only in wild-type C57BL/6 mice. Human B4GALNT1 mRNA (235 bp) was detectable only in homozygous hB4GALNT1 knockin mice but not in wild-type mice.
